UK Pastry Open

Selection process for 2019 Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie has already started and the 4th UK PASTRY OPEN organised by the UK Pastry Club has been held in October 2nd 2017 at the RESTAURANT SHOW.

9 candidates were fighting for 6 hours to present 5 plated desserts of their own creation and to match their chosen theme for the competition on top of a chocolate, sugar or ice carving display.

A jury panel of highly recognized professionals will be assembled : Christophe RHEDON MOF, Florian POIROT, Barry JOHNSON, Mourad KHIAT, John COSTELLO, Andrew GRAVETT, Cherish FINDEN, Brian TURNER  CBE, Graham HORNIGOLD, Ludwig HELY, Martin CHIFFERS, Christophe GASPER, Nicolas BOUHELIER, Chris LODER, Michael NADELL, Dale DESIMONE, Christopher ZAMMIT, Andrew BLAS and  Franck MICHEL MOF as président of the Jury.

We also had the privilege to have a very special guest : Gabriel PAILLASSON, MOF, founder president of the Pastry World Cup

Jamie Houghton, overwall winner, is automatically selected to be part of the next official Pastry Team which will represent the UK at the next Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie and won the sugar prize. Sarju Ranavaya won the best chocolate display and Chris the ice prize.
